Z Tree Services
tree surgery in North London

Our services

Our prices depend on the height and ease of access. We can treat your tree with the appropriate fungicide, prune and destroy dead and severely diseased branches. We clear all the waste from cut trees off site.

Please let us know if you have good site access: through a house or a side gate. Send us a picture and we will either get back to you with a quote straight away or arrange a free on-site consultation.

Please ask neighbours for permission if the tree is on their land and make sure that any trees you ask us to fell are not protected by conservation orders (TPO).

We will require a parking space for two cars in front of your house.

Please cancel your booked appointment 24 hours before the work scheduled . If our tree surgeon arrives at the site and his services are not required, we will change you up to 75% of the estimate.

Our company has a £5 million Public Liability Insurance and a copy of the policy is available on request.

Tree surgery terms explained
Basic crown operations

Cleaning
- removal of dead branches and climbing plants.
Pollarding - repeated pruning of a crown from young age of the tree.
Trimming - removing soft outer growth.
Pruning - selective cutting of branches to help a tree to develop a healthy form.
Crown Lifting

Removing lower branches to increase the clearance between the ground and the crown. Identify the branches you wish to remove, or specify a height above ground level to which you wish to "lift" the crown. Useful for allowing more light into gardens. Prevents low branches obstructing paths, drives etc.
Crown Thinning

Reduces the density of the tree's crown without changing the overall shape and size of the tree. Thinning reduces the amount of foliage and allows more light through the canopy or crown. Useful for letting more light into gardens and windows.
Crown Reduction

The tree crown is reduced by shortening branches, and so changes the overall size and shape of the tree.
Useful for preventing branches contacting buildings, roofs and guttering.

Rated People

"The job was carried out quickly, George and his assistant were both friendly, knowledgable and efficient. All was left in a perfect condition and we are very pleased with the job. George was asked to fell 2 palm trees which he did and also tidied up a smaller tree and even removed a small bush which wasn't quoted for but he did it anyway. All was swept and left tidy. I wouldn't hesitate to use the company again in future."
